Grace started dancing in September 2017 at the D’Arcy School of Irish Dance. She was about to enter 3rd grade at a new school. She has wanted to learn Irish dance since kindergarten. Now Grace is entering her 6th year of Irish dance and is a preliminary champion. Nobody would have known that Grace was not only speech delayed but also delayed with motor skills. She was also painfully shy. She didn’t start walking until she was almost 2 years old and she didn’t speak until 3 years old. She could not run or jump properly until almost 7 years old. She also always had a hard time performing in front of people. Irish dance has given her confidence. She not only just came back from competing on the National Irish Dance stage in Nashville. She has come out of her shell in and out of dance and has no problems being in a crowd. D’Arcy has given her 2nd family.
